Ben Worthy joined Birkbeck in 2012. His research interests include government transparency, open data, political leadership, British politics, digital democracy and public policy and policy-making. He has written articles for Governance, Parliamentary Affairs and Public Administration as well as provided reports for and presented evidence to the Justice and Public Administration Select Committees.
Along with Dermot Hodson, Ben Worthy is the host of the Birkbeck Politics podcast, Westminster Watch.
His book The Politics of Freedom of Information was published by Manchester University Press in 2017.
