The Centre for the Study of British Politics and Public Life aims to engage with key issues in British politics and public life through public debates, conferences, lectures, seminars and workshops.

2018 is the 100 year anniversary of the Representation of the People Act and the Parliament (Qualification of Women Act). This is legislation that gave working class men and some women the vote, and women the right to sit in the House of Commons.

We will be marking this occasion through a series of events that explore questions of political inclusion and equality, citizenship, participation and representation.

A full schedule of these events will be available in March 2018. Browse currently listed events below or subscribe to our mailing list for the latest updates.
